A new oil business has moved into the area They are called Rapid Industrial Cleaning a 5-year-old Wyoming company that recently expanded to North Dakota and is based in the New Town area They use high pressure sprayers to clean rigs Advance Business Methods located at 1941 4th Street SW recently acquired ABM and officials say they are excited about their growth in Minot and the surrounding area The office equipment company has been in North Dakota since 1971 in Minot since 2000 Minot Guarantee and Escrow is in their new home at 1829 South Broadway And if you stop in you can t miss the mural in the entryway painted by artist Merle Yodar he uses sheet rock mud for a three dimensional effect This work is a depiction of Minot with the genie a bomber and oil derrick and stalks of wheat Minot Guarantee and Escrow has been In Minot less than a year in a temporary location In Williston the Western Cooperative Credit Union is renovating and adding on Work began recently on a project that could take a year to complete They are moving the drive thru window so that they can expand to the back of the building CEO Melanie Stillwell says the building is 28 years old and needed some updating plus they needed more space And at Lake Metigoshe north of Bottineau new owners at the Four Seasons Resort Bruce and Jill Watson took over recently they are both from the area and are happy to be at the lake They have gas groceries and have expanded the bait and tackle products They even have a pontoon and hydro bikes to rent For Business Beat I m Carla Burbidge
